White-crowned Sparrow

This is a brown sparrow with gray chest and a black and white striped crown. They have a small think pink bill.

The female will build the nest and have 2 broods a year.  She lays 3 to 5 eggs. The female sits on the eggs.
According to the one bird book I have, the male takes the responsibility of raising the young while the female starts a second brood.  Only 9-12 days separate the broods.
